BeagleBay While Leah's first album may be my favorite, it is obvious that she took her songwriting to a new level on 'Dotty'. Love the cover-art / title. Love every song. 'Yeah, You' seems stolen from or glaringly missing from the best indie movie from last year, whichever year we are talking about. How is she not a massive success yet? What the Hell is wrong with people? I eagerly await more music from Leah Lou and the 2 Left Shoes! Favorite track: Yeah, You.
Hassles

Hassles I adore Leah Lou - Leah Lou is stunning - its her, her voice, her, her vocal style & her that I love here. Daniel graciously provides sympathetic instrumental accompaniment but it's Leah Lou. To generate this "much" with "so little" is nought but fantastic. Oh and their lyrics - veritable trail-blazers. yeah, I like it a little bit!

Taylor Myers Saw them at Beachland tavern in Cleveland, so amazing! Two of the chillest musicians with stellar talent, can't wait to see them again! Favorite track: Come & Get Me.

The Red Door 03:00
connect the dots, connect the freckles on your arm correct the hearts we broke, the smoke we toke will bring them back to normal, oh i had enough, so pack it up and everybody move along the night is ours, the moon the stars, the broken parts the battle scars there's change in the weather there's chains on the red door. connect the dots, connect the freckles on your arm correct the words we spoke, i told you so it's never everlasting, no so call the shots and blow me off it's over now, we'll carry on the sounds, the songs we wrote a long time ago are in the walls there's change in the weather. there's chains on the red door. ***the name won't save you this time the game's been played and you lied now this arcade's your pride we coulda saved it if you tried*** collected debt, collected everything you had corrupted company and suddenly i'm feeling really bad about it but honestly i do believe you take the blame for everything. the guilt, the shame, the broken dreams left in the place are memories. there's change in the weather there's chains on the red door *** we coulda saved it if you tried.

i'm too young to be stuffed in your pocket locked up like all your loose change saved up for a rainy day, spent when you say it's okay waiting to be given away i'm too old to be tied up to your heart like a dog on a leash out in the yard following you and begging for food obeying and staying when you tell me too you love me when i'm fast asleep you love me when i'm on my knees you love me when i just don't speak i'm too dumb to learn all of your lessons like a big brainless beast with a text book ripping the pages and stuffing his face dining on science cuz science tastes great i'm too smart to be sat down and lied to like a whiny child told not to cry "if i were you, i'd stop making that face, it'll get stuck that way. you'll run out of tears and you'll need 'em some day" you love me when i'm fast asleep you love me when i'm on my knees you love me when i just don't speak you love me when you're all alone you love me when your schedule's full you love me less each time you call "come and get me" cowardly cleveland city resident call the police again just like your dad talented tipsy little teenage me can't believe i didn't see it coming when you smiled at me you love me when i'm fast asleep you love me when i'm on my knees you love me when i just don't speak you love me when you're all alone you love me when your schedule's full you love me less each time you call "come and get me"

Coffee Table 02:22
fire safe cigarettes, caramel covered in chocolate coffee, alcohol, sticks of incense and a bracelet cheap generic trail mix, half a pack of matches dust and dirt and ashes napkins and a candle i choose to keep my eyes open and i choose to keep this coffee table full. tell me something useless, something more amusing than a plane crash in the mountains, kidnapped kids and houses blowing up. tell me something different! something i haven't heard yet edit the fucking news strip, mister, some of us haven't slept yet i choose to keep my eyes open and i choose to keep this television on i choose to keep my eyes open so i won't be sleeping alone. rock 'n' roll magazines, papers, bowl, a bag of weed pencils, notebooks, my bare feet. poems i wrote and a mix cd. i choose to keep my eyes open and i choose to keep this coffee table full i choose to keep my eyes open and i choose to keep this television on i choose to keep my eyes open so i won't be sleeping alone.

everything's colder in california they might not have souls there they must not have class they act like they do but everything's plastic you kiss their assets and they stab your back. oh, you tell them the truth and they'll tear your heart out they'll pay for the ticket and they'll send you back you show 'em what you do and they'll make a memo yeah, they'll take all the credit cuz they've got the cash. ***crash! shiny little silver set television smash hit!*** everything's harder to see on the west coast the beast seems so nice but she'll eat you alive she'll pick your bones clean before you even stop breathing and you'll die while you wait for a chance to survive. *** crash! imposter garbage can. television smash it!*** everything's bound to betrayal in la they don't keep promises but contracts are holy angels are agents and money is god liability's sacred and the system is flawed. *** ***
